Kigali, 23rd July 2024 – Club Rafiki was filled with energy and creativity as young people gathered to showcase their diverse talents during a special youth entertainment and talent development event.
The day’s activities featured music, dance, drama, poetry, and visual art, all performed by youth members who train and practice regularly at Club Rafiki. The event aimed to promote self-expression, confidence, and teamwork among participants while highlighting the role of art and creativity in youth empowerment.
“Our goal is to give young people a space to express who they are — to learn, to have fun, and to discover their potential through talent,” said a Club Rafiki coordinator during the event.
A Celebration of Youth Creativity
The performances reflected the diversity of skills nurtured at Club Rafiki — from traditional dance and modern choreography to spoken-word poetry and live music. The audience, made up of parents, local leaders, and invited guests, applauded each presentation with enthusiasm.
The event also included a short exhibition of hand-made art and crafts created by youth participants, demonstrating how creative activities can open pathways to entrepreneurship and personal growth.
“These young artists remind us that talent can be a bridge to opportunity when it is supported and guided,” one guest commented.
Empowering Youth Through Entertainment
This initiative is part of Club Rafiki’s broader mission to empower youth through culture, education, and sports. The event provided a platform for young people not only to entertain but also to inspire their peers and communities.
The Club continues to offer safe spaces where young people can explore their interests — from ICT training and sports to cultural and artistic expression.
“We believe in giving every young person a chance to shine,” said the event host. “Talent is not just for fun — it’s a tool for building confidence, discipline, and connection.”
